Honda Announces News at 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Eco-friendly announcements abound as Honda lays out future plans in Geneva.

It can be tough to keep up with all of the news that comes out of an auto show, but the experts at Victory Honda in Monroe have done an excellent job in keeping area drivers informed with all of the latest Honda news as it unfolds. They have had their fair share of highlights at the show as well.

Honda's popular Earth Dreams technology is getting a revamp for their European market, with the CR-V sporting a 1.6L i-DTEC diesel engine for the manual transmission, two-wheel drive model of their popular crossover utility vehicle. The lightest engine in its class, it is optimized for torque production and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

Honda had their next-generation fuel-cell vehicle, the FCX Clarity, on display as well, right alongside their other innovative vehicles, from the CR-Z hybrid sports car to the new Jazz and Insight hybrids.

One of the most exciting announcements came in the form of the Honda Civic Tourer. While this vehicle does not look to be coming over to the United States any time soon, European drivers can expect the Sport Wagon take on the ubiquitous Honda Civic as early as autumn.

While each of these vehicles is geared toward practicality as well as style, Honda brought out the latest version of the NSX concept car as well, built with a driver-centered interior that carries a "simple sports interface" designed to reduce clutter and allow the driver to focus on driving above all else.

When events such as the Geneva Motor Show occur, it becomes the responsibility of auto dealers such as Victory Honda to keep the public informed, and area residents can rest easy knowing that each of Honda's announcements at auto shows will be covered by the team at Victory Honda.
