HomeUnion Names John Dean to Board of Directors

HomeUnion, an online real estate investment management firm specializing in single-family rental (SFR) properties for the individual investor, announced today that John Dean, has joined the HomeUnion Board of Directors.

Mr. Dean brings more than 20 years of experience of corporate leadership to the HomeUnion Board. Previously, he was chief executive officer of Silicon Valley Bank, which was named by Forbes as one of the “100 Fastest-Growing Companies,” during his tenure. He has also served as an advisor to a number of venture capital funds.

He is also chair emeritus of the Entrepreneur’s Foundation of Hawaii, chair of the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Hawaii and a board member of Aloha United Way and was chair of its 2012-2013 campaign.

“I am pleased to join the board of HomeUnion, and to help the company bring the kinds of information and services to the single-family rental market that is common in other investment markets,” said John Dean.  “Not only do I believe in the management team and the business model, but I’ve also invested in the SFR market through HomeUnion.”

Mr. Dean is a graduate of Holy Cross College, a former Peace Corps volunteer in Western Samoa and a graduate of the Wharton School with an MBA in Finance.
