Hip Hop Socialite/Reality Star Angela Simmons' "For the Love of Fashion" Award!

Montgomery, Alabama, February 22, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Montgomery, AL "Celebrity" Clothing Designer Charles Andrews of Charles Andrews Couture, won the Fashion Designer 1st Place Award in Angela Simmons’ “For the Love of Fashion” event.  Some may be already familiar with Andrews’ exceptionally manufactured garments and exquisite pieces.   Andrews’ collections have graced the bodies of many celebrities and high profile talents including Montgomery’s WSFA 12's news anchor Tonya Terry.  Simmons sought designers nationally for her FTLOF event.  After viewing a huge field of talented designer submissions, Simmons narrowed the selection pool to the “Elite” 15.  These 15 competed in a “Live” mannequin showcase of (1) garment.  Although the competition was steep, Andrews’ jaw-dropping design won.  Andrews says, “My fellow fashion creators and I brought our ‘A-Game’.  We were ready to showcase our selection to a global audience of:   celebrities, retailers, stylists, store owners, press and fashion industry influencers (especially Ms. Simmons).”  Andrews continues, “When I was notified I was one of the ‘Top 4’, I got real anxious.  I really got nervous as Ms. Simmons walked the boutique looking at the 4 and made her final decision.  When Ms. Simmons announced me as the winner, I froze right where I stood.  I could hear and see, but could do little more than smile.  My collections have been shown in: Alabama, Atlanta, New York, Miami, Chicago and New Orleans ‘Fashion Weeks’ and shows.  I also have won other awards.  However, I am so grateful and humbled that Ms. Simmons chose my design, I felt like a kid on Christmas.  The whole FTLOF experience was mind blowing.  I received lots of exposure for my brand.  I did many interviews with press and met a lot of contacts.  Yes, there is a God and ‘HE’ answers prayers.”  You can reach Andrews at:  @iam_charlesandrews on Instagram for a consultation or to place an order.
