Driven by the idea of initiating unique concepts, Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, Kala Amb, organized an interactive session on June 2015. The conference was graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries like Shri. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri ( the Honorable V.C. Central Ministry H.P), Shri Kanwar Pal Gujjar (Speaker, Haryana Legislative Assembly), Shri Balwant Singh (M.L.A Sadhora Haryana), Dr. Rajiv Bindal (M.L.A Nahan H.P), Shri Ghyan Shyam Das (M.L.A Yamuna Nagar Haryana), and H.S Grewal (Khadi Board Chairman). On September 25 2014, under the initiative of the Government of India, the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Damodar Modi launched the ‘Make in India’ campaign. The idea behind the initiative was simple- it aims to prepare and transform India into a global manufacturing hub. With this campaign, the government seeks to develop 25 sectors of the economy for proactive job opportunities and skill enhancement initiatives. The major sectors in ‘Make in India’ initiatives are automobiles, chemicals, IT, pharmaceuticals, textiles, ports, aviation, leather, tourism, and hospitality. The interactive session scheduled by Himalayan Group focused on the potential benefits of ‘Make in India’ campaign. KC Agnihotri, the V-C Central Ministry HP, also advocated the cause and suggested the significance of a constructive change in India. It is what we need in order to become a powerful developed nation in the coming years. The necessity of taking the ‘Make in India’ initiative forward at both educational and professional level is important. The idea behind this drive is to impart education to the students and to prepare them as per the merits of the global standards.

Attending the interactive sessions at Himalayan Group, Mr. Inderjeet Singh, the Managing Director of Indivar Software Solutions, shared his insightful view related to the ‘Make in India’ initiative with us. “It is important to understand the significance of ‘innovation’ as the world is obsessed with the idea of uniqueness. The IT world respects whatever comes ‘first’- and the trouble with India right now is cloning. We don’t want to create but recreate. I am sure once we will start understanding the merits of uniqueness, we will stand right at the zenith. Right now, the world is using Indian minds for creating innovation and is labeling it with a foreign brand. With ‘Make in India’ campaign, we will be able to create as well as label it under our own brand name. Now this is something India needs for the superior growth!” added Mr. Singh.

As far as the students at Himalayan Group are concerned, the interactive session introduced new chapters of learning in their wisdom and ideology. ‘Make in India’ recreates an India that believes in discovering ‘self’ as per the global standards. As a fastest growing nation, India needs more of such campaigns to win the dominant spot of ‘developed’ nation. We have the force, we have the mind, and we have the idea- we just need self-actualization!
