Highlands Oncology Group Physicians to Present at Komen Survivorship Conference

Highlands Oncology Group Oncologists Will Contribute to Panel Presentations at Komen Survivorship Conference

Dr. J. Thaddeus Beck and Dr. Stephan Rosenfeld, both of Highlands Oncology Group, Northwest Arkansas’ leading cancer treatment provider, will participate in panel presentations, and follow-up discussions, at the Susan G. Komen Ozark Survivorship Conference. The conference will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Pat Walker Center for Seniors located on the Washington Regional Medical Center campus.

The conference will include several speakers who will discuss topics on breast cancer vaccine research, survivorship aftercare, follow-up screening after treatment and psychosocial aspects of survivorship.

Dr. Beck will present on the latest in breast cancer vaccine trials and research. Dr. Rosenfeld will present on follow-up care after breast cancer.

The Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Since 1998, the affiliate has awarded more than $9 million to local organizations providing breast health education, breast cancer screening and treatment programs to medically underserved women.

Dr. Beck is continually involved in research on treatment options for breast cancer and many other cancers. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Rosenfeld has practiced medical oncology and hematology with Highlands Oncology Group since 2002. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
