Highlands Oncology Group Commends Two APRNs On Completing Advanced Oncological Certifications
ROGERS, Ark., September 22, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Highlands Oncology Group, Northwest Arkansas’ leading cancer treatment provider, congratulates Melanie Haney and Elaine Porter, both Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) at Highlands Oncology Group, on completing advanced certifications in oncology care.
Melanie Haney successfully completed the Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS) certification and Elaine Porter successfully completed the Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification.
The AOCNS and AOCNP certification programs both require participants to pass a three-hour, 165 multiple-choice question exam which is based on the results of a role delineation study of advanced oncology nursing practice, according to the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) website. The comprehensive exams include 11 major subject areas.
