The formalities and legalities of a wedding may be thought of as the "bone structure" of the service. Without those legalities, with no right words, documentation, certifications and authorities, the service can't be a legal one.

Nevertheless, the bare bones of this type of service can be - and ought to be - superbly "dressed" with things that add to the meaningfulness and fascination of the service. The word "service" reminds us that a wedding is among the significant events of one's life that it's something deserving all the pageantry and ritual the couple may decide to contain. This sense of something more than just an official process may be expressed more informally, also - in which case the "rite" is quite rested and with simplicity and appeal.

If the marriage ceremony is formal or casual, while it's conventional or modern, there isn't any doubt that wonderfully selected music enhances the feeling and nature of the service - and a first class celebrant will assist the couple to decide on the music that best suits their function.

Simply how Much Music Should We've?

A marriage ceremony isn't limited to work with just a set amount of musical pieces. Actually, some weddings - typically complex ones - can contain a rather staggering level of music. Some - really straightforward ones - might prefer to contain almost no music. But my recommendation as an Authorized Marriage Celebrant is the couple incorporates at least a single piece, to be performed or played through the Signing of the Register.

Many wedding ceremonies even have music played as the bride walks down the aisle; this is known as the Bride's Processional. Equally many wedding ceremonies contain music to be played as the bride and groom walk out together once the closing words of the service happen to be talked; this is called the Recessional.
