Hit City Digital is pleased to announce Henry Turner, Jr. & Flavor’s Ultimate Louisiana Party III tour will open in Arizona for a six week run of their annual circuit of Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington State. The dates include performances in clubs, at festivals and hosting Ultimate Louisiana Parties at key stops. The Ultimate Louisiana Party features local musicians, jam sessions and themed “Taste of Louisiana’ buffets. They also benefit non-profit organizations that include the Endangered Species Media Project and Project Self Inc., an anger management and self help group, as well as local non-profit organizations.  (Please see confirmed dates and details below.)

Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor’s musical odyssey began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Creating a “gumbo” of distinctive syncopated and hypnotic music that incorporates soul, reggae, funk and blues. The Hit City Digital recording artists have released eight CD’s and over fourteen singles. Some of their better known hits and fan favorites include “2 Many Women,” “Ugly Man” and “Love Me or Leave Me.” The band is well known for their tongue in cheek lyrics, upbeat dance numbers and touching ballads. Currently the bands’ music is in rotation at various radio stations in the south and in Switzerland, France, Spain and England, with songs that also include “Big Butt Girl” and “I Might Just Let You Go.”

The band is Henry Turner, Jr. on vocals and guitar. Returning this year is bass player James Turner of Arizona, along with percussionist Safeer Mohabde.  New to the tour this year is drummer TC Cush. Background vocalists include Janessa Nelson, Laura Peralta Jones and Cheryl Silverstein in larger cities. Acoustic solo performer, Johnny Midnite, opens for the band at certain venues.  Guest soloists, additional background singers and musicians will be featured along the way.

Comments Henry Turner, Jr.,“It’s been a good year for the band. We opened up Henry Turner’s Listening Room in Baton Rouge in February, which is a huge success. We also did multiple concerts in the Town Square and got airplay throughout the world. The only unfortunate thing was the unexpected death of our roadie, Kevin (Rooster) Guy, in a canoeing accident last month.  But as newly appointed Louisiana music ambassadors we are once again taking our culture, music and cuisine out on the road, in honor of our fallen band mate.”

To hear how the band is doing on the road, tune in to Henry’s weekly radio show on Tuesday evenings at 10pm (CDT) on Blogtalk radio at hcr golden vibes. and watch for the Grand Re-opening of the Listening Room in September, as well as their appearance at the Louisiana State Fair in October.
