Healthcare Quality Organization Adds New Leadership

WASHINGTON, January 5, 2022 (Newswire.com) - The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is proud to announce a new addition to its Board of Directors — Sara Vaezy, Senior Vice President, Chief of Digital and Growth Strategy for Providence.

Vaezy is a nationally regarded health care strategist and a champion for the use of technology to improve care delivery and transform the patient experience. Her current portfolio at Providence, where she has served in several executive roles since 2016, encompasses digital strategy and roadmap, as well as digital partnerships and business development, commercialization, technology evaluation and pilots, and digital thought leadership. She has been instrumental in the formation of the Providence Digital Innovation Group, a team of strategists, software engineers, marketers and investors embedded within Providence who envision, evaluate, incubate and spin out new health system-focused digital solutions.

Before joining Providence, Vaezy was a consultant with health care management consulting firm The Chartis Group, where she advised its clients on enterprise strategic planning, payer-provider partnership and the development of population health companies.

A leading thinker in technology innovation, Vaezy is frequently tapped by leading health care organizations. She is a member of the American Hospital Association Center for Health Innovation Leadership Council and a Health Evolution Forum Fellow. She is also a frequent NCQA Quality Talks speaker and shares her expertise with numerous industry organizations, including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and others.
