Health Future Appoints CEO

By action of the Health Future, LLC Board of Governors, Chris Chang-Howitz has been appointed as CEO of Health Future effective immediately. Chris was unanimously appointed to her new position during a meeting of the Board of Governors of Health Future held in Portland, Oregon on March 5, 2010.

Health Future is a healthcare consortium serving its owner hospital members, customers and their communities throughout Oregon for over 30 years.

Duane Francis, Health Future Board Chairman, announced to all Health Future Staff the following: "Please join us in congratulating Chris on her selection for this important position. During her time as Interim Director, Chris proved herself to be a competent and valuable executive and the Board of Governors has complete confidence in her abilities to lead and guide Health Future to the next level in performing services for member organizations. Chris has been the Chief Financial Officer of Health Future since June, 2009, and has overseen Finance, Accounting, Information Services and Group Purchasing.

Prior to joining Health Future, Chris has more than 25 years of cross-industry experience in general management, operations, strategic planning, and financial management. These include positions as Senior Vice President for nine years at Newkirk Products, Inc., and 15 years as Chief Financial Officer and senior positions for Benova, Inc., Brudi, Inc., and Bank of America.
