Health and Fitness Group Challenge UK Companies to Join Their Look After Campaign
Online, April 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Leading more and more busy lifestyles leaves many frustrated when it comes to eating healthily and getting the appropriate exercise. This is an ever growing problem within the office workers of the city who often work long hours with very small breaks leading to limited food choice and limited opportunity for exercising. Looking after this workforce is not just the individuals responsibility but that companies should offer more.
Recognizing this online health and fitness experts at Home-Gym have launched a get healty and be looked after campaign starting in May 2010 for 6 months. It is aimed at educating and helping both the office bound workers and their companies in how to 'look after' each other better. So far applicants who subscribe for free with home gym health and fitness are asked to give details on their lifestyle and diet.
The panel will then choose some free programs and nutritional guides for the applicants. Home Gym will then invite selected applicants to comment daily on a joint blog. It is a double-edged challenge as they are seeking willing companies to get involved and learn what they can do to improve the health and productivity of their workforce.
Gary Rigg, organiser at Home Gym says "It is hoped that more companies will accept our invite and challenge to increase their workforce general health and well-being. There is much more they can do."
"Simply installing some gym equipment in some remote part of the building won't always suffice. For example, there are small elliptical trainers that fit underneath a desk. We're not saying desk bound workers should start going flat out but a gentle caridovascular routine will be unobtrusive, help keep their circulation going and provide much needed mobility".
Home Gym aim to provide quality reviews of fitness equipment and nutritional information. Challenging companies to look after their workforce and gain an increase in productivity.
