Healing Transitions Names Chris Budnick as Executive Director

The Board is confident that Budnick will successfully lead the nonprofit's current program in Wake County and its expansion in the state.

Healing Transitions is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has chosen Chris Budnick as Executive Director. Previously serving as the Vice President of Programs, Budnick will oversee the organization currently serving Wake County, and will continue to lead expansion efforts in Greenville and Wilmington.

“Chris Budnick has been with the organization since 2000 and is the perfect person to lead us into the future,” said David Fitzpatrick, Board Chairman. “His abilities have helped Healing Transitions become a flagship that truly sets the standard in promoting recovery from substance use disorders and ending the cycle of homelessness.”

Healing Transitions remains committed to providing world-class, peer-led recovery programs and systems of care. Among other achievements, the nonprofit has provided over 1 million beds to those in need, delivered an inconceivable amount of simple human services and provided hope to those seeking recovery.

“It is an honor to serve Healing Transitions as Executive Director,” said Budnick. “I’ve been involved since the very beginning because I strongly believe in our mission and have witnessed the tremendous impact recovery has made upon those we serve, their families and communities.  I know that by lowering and removing barriers to initiating recovery and providing long-term recovery supports, we as an organization can continue to empower people to live full, meaningful and productive lives.”
