HeadBox, the UK’s first online marketplace for inspiring off-site meetings and event spaces has signed up Dentsu Aegis Network in the UK, one of the big five marketing and advertising agency groups, to use its new HeadBox Business dashboard which is now launched following a successful pilot.

The deal gives Dentsu Aegis Network’s entire UK group the ability to search, book and pay for over 4,000 unique and creative venues in London and across the UK in a matter of clicks. Dentsu Aegis Network is the first of the big five agency groups in the UK to sign up for exclusive use of HeadBox Business.

"Delivering engaging, inspiring and creative events for our people, our clients and the wider industry is a key part of our communications approach. The HeadBox platform together with its HeadBox Business dashboard offers us an impressive and diverse range of event spaces while also saving us both time and money. It makes the whole process of event booking really easy, simple and transparent across our growing network of UK agencies."

The newly launched HeadBox Business is a personalised corporate dashboard on top of the HeadBox platform. It helps companies manage multiple venue bookings across multiple teams, departments and territories, and delivers complete transparency and budget control for all event budgets and venue bookings, as well as insight into what spending and savings are made across the company or network. It also allows corporate clients to pay for their venue of choice not just by Paypal and Debit or Credit Card but also now by Invoice, which is automatically generated by the platform on behalf of the venue.

At the same time, HeadBox is bringing together an ecosystem of handpicked suppliers from caterers and AV equipment to photography and entertainment. This means corporates can book everything they need for any event all in one place, earning commissions on all bookings made and capturing valuable data for all their work-related events across their entire organisation.

HeadBox Business clearly fills a gap in the market and adds value to companies wishing to take charge of their venue and event bookings. The new service has proven very popular during its beta period, used now by over 100 major blue chip corporates including HSBC, Uber, Farfetch, UBS, Expedia, Mace Plc, as well as seven major WPP companies.

Ali Lord, Events Manager, Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland, says: "Delivering engaging, inspiring and creative events for our people, our clients and the wider industry is a key part of our communications approach. The HeadBox platform together with its HeadBox Business dashboard offers us an impressive and diverse range of event spaces while also saving us both time and money. It makes the whole process of event booking really easy, simple and transparent across our growing network of UK agencies.”

Andrew Needham, HeadBox CEO & Founder said: “We are re-inventing the events industry through technology both by opening up people’s imagination to the different uses of space and by ensuring the event planning and management process is much easier, simpler, faster, more cost effective as well as transparent.”

“I’m very excited to be working with the UK arm of Dentsu Aegis Network, who as the leader in the digital communications space, recognises that what we are doing will change the future of the events industry forever. The strength of HeadBox Business, recognised by Dentsu Aegis Network, is that it offers a seamless overview, in real-time, of all the event and venue activities of a large company — aggregating them all into easy clusters according to spending, timings, business areas, and departments — thereby gathering and unlocking valuable business data,” Needham concludes.
