Hat Trick by Rembell's GST Hands-On Implementation Guide

GST Hands On Implementation Guide by Rembell Group in Kuala Lumpur

Third round of GST Hands-On Implementation Guide course was final touch of preparation process by Rembell Group before implementation day - 1st April 2015.  Even though the news of implementing GST created alarm and confusion multinational and local companies in Malaysia stood up and started preparation with our course. Total of 120 participants from different industries participated in one of three GST Hands On implementation Guide sessions.  Accountants, tax advisers, finance managers, business owners as well as personnel who want to know about GST impact on their business operations benefited fully from our program.

Guidelines for effective implementation, compliance, enforcement and treatment of transitional issues upon implementation of GST were presented in each session. All participants gained understanding of the key elements of GST and its mechanism through identification and reviewing business activities in line with GST.

Ravi presented multiple case studies, examples of possible situations which were filled with his extensive experience in the area.  In depth discussions between him and the delegates continued throughout two full days with no time for break. On the end, the delegates completed the workshop with freshly imparted GST concepts which will help their respective companies through implementation process.

To sum up , known across the world as either GST or VAT (value added tax), it is a broad-based consumption tax (tax on your spending) which affects all parties in a multi-stage taxation system across the value chain from manufacturing to sales, it is based on a tax-on-value-add concept which avoids duplication of taxes. The basic fundamental of GST is its self-policing features which allow the businesses to claim their Input tax credit by way of automatic deduction in their accounting system.

The implementation of GST in Malaysia has been scheduled for 1st April 2015 as it was in Budget 2014 speech by Malaysian PM. Rembell Group put its efforts to help companies understand and implement new tax. With three successful sessions we can conclude that Malaysia is read for April 1st 2015.
