Hair Club® Employees Volunteer for the Child Rescue Coalition and to Help Hurricane Victims in Puerto Rico

Hair Club Gives Employees Time Off to Volunteer as Part of Providing the Ultimate Employee Experience

Hair Club®, the number one provider of total hair solutions in North America, gave employees time off to volunteer for the Child Rescue Coalition in Boca Raton, Florida on August 4, 2018 as part of the company’s popular Pay It Forward Program (“PIF”).

PIF enables Hair Club employees to volunteer their time for charitable non-profit organizations during work hours. If the volunteer opportunity is outside work hours, employees are given time off during the work week in exchange. “It’s just one way Hair Club provides the Ultimate Employee Experience (UEE),” said Kerry Cimber, Talent Acquisition Manager at Hair Club. “As Labor Day nears, it’s a great time to highlight all that we do as a company for our community and for our employees.”

Our UEE efforts are comprehensive, from providing regular, in-house hair salon appointments to monthly teambuilding parties and continuing education opportunities

Nearly 20 Hair Club team members from several departments within the company participated in the volunteer event at the Child Rescue Coalition office. Activities included preparing care packages containing blankets, a teddy bear, coloring books and crayons. Law enforcement officers carry these packages in their squad cars to give to children for comfort when they’re rescued from sexual exploitation.

In July, Hair Club’s 42nd birthday celebration included special “fun-raising” events for victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. More than 90 Hair Club locations across North America participated with birthday cakes, a garage sale, a bake sale and by taking and sharing “smiling selfies” for company donations. A total of $17,755 was raised and will be donated. “Because the suffering continues for so many of the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, we as employees were all eager to step up and provide help to those in need,” said Cimber.

“Volunteering is just one part of UEE,” said Trisha Goldsmith, Hair Club’s Director of Client Experience. “Our UEE efforts are comprehensive, from providing regular, in-house hair salon appointments to monthly teambuilding parties and continuing education opportunities.”

Recently, employees celebrated the World Cup soccer tournament and Spirit Week. These monthly holiday celebrations are hosted and organized by the Culture Committee and the Human Resources Department at Hair Club.

“The tenure of our employees speaks volumes about the culture at our company,” said Goldsmith. “At Hair Club, we truly believe in and are committed to providing the Ultimate Employee Experience.”
