Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco Appoints Vice President of Real Estate

SAN FRANCISCO, June 8, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Constanza Asfura-Heim has been appointed Vice President of Real Estate for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. The well-known affordable housing nonprofit last year celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Asfura-Heim will helm the organization's real estate team as it fulfills its ambitious plans to double the organization's production of affordable housing across San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.

She comes to Habitat having served as Vice President of Real Estate for a social impact investing firm located in San Francisco. Previously Asfura-Heim was a leader in the real estate department at Kamehameha Schools, where she oversaw financial feasibility, highest and best use, and project optimization for the non-profit organization, the largest land holder in the State of Hawaii. She has several years of experience in affordable housing, community-oriented developments, and sustainable green building design.

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco builds homes and extends affordable homeownership opportunities to working families in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties. Since completing its first home in 1989 in East Palo Alto, the nonprofit has built hundreds of homes across the region - from single-family homes in Novato, to apartment complexes in Daly City, to townhomes in San Francisco.

Habitat projects currently in progress include a 20-unit development in downtown Redwood City, eight homes in San Francisco's Diamond Heights neighborhood, and six homes in Daly City. Its medium-term pipeline includes further major developments in Redwood City, San Francisco and Novato - as well as other projects across each county of its service area.
