Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) held its 15th Express Entry Draw on Friday, August 21th, issuing 1,523 invitations to apply for permanent residency in its most recent draw with the lowest Comprehensive Ranking Score point
Toronto, ON, September 22, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Canada, 22nd September 2015 : Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) held its 15th Express Entry Draw on Friday, August 21th, issuing 1,523 invitations to apply for permanent residency in its most recent draw with the lowest Comprehensive Ranking Score point total for this draw of 456..
Express Entry is the Government of Canada’s new electronic and expedited immigration management system for three of its federal immigration and the provincial nominee programs:
· Federal Skill Workers
· Federal Skilled Trade
· Canadian Experience Class
· Provincial Nominee Program
Interested applicants must complete a two-stage process to register with the Express Entry system.
First, applicants must complete a personal profile for Express Entry, entering key qualifications and personal information, and by doing so receive a Comprehensive Ranking System score. Completing an online profile does not guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence; however, applicants with arranged employment receive an additional 600 points, virtually assuring themselves of receiving an invitation to apply on the next Express Entry draw. Upon completing their profile, and registering with the Job Bank applicants will be entered into the Express Entry pool of candidates. Every month, a draw is held to invite those with the highest scores to apply for permanent residency.
For those drawn and receiving an Invitation to Apply, applicants have 60-days to complete and submit their application and supporting documentation for permanent residency using the Express Entry system. If applicants do not use this opportunity to apply, they must create a new Express Entry profile in order to participate in future draws.
“However, often such potential immigrants need a full understanding of not only of whether they qualify for an immigration program, but obviously about how this new electronic and expedited system really works in the context of the thousands of potential new immigrants in the Express Entry applicant pool. Express Entry does not necessarily work equally well for every applicant, and they should consider seeking help to make their immigration dreams a reality…” says Guidy Mamann, founder of Toronto immigration law firm Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell.
