Greyboy Pet Prints Announces New Pet Remembrance Product

New product offers grieving pet owners customized artwork that incorporates ash cremains, paw prints and fur clippings

Pet Etching Memorial

Printmaker artist, Mandi Pratt, of Greyboy Pet Prints (GPP) is announcing her new creation: custom pet portrait etchings that incorporate paw prints, cremains, and fur clippings into a permanent keepsake. Mandi came up with the idea a year after the passing of her beloved Jack, a Chihuahua mix she rescued. She still missed him greatly and was comforted by his memory, her favorite photograph, Jack’s pawprint and wisps of his brown coarse fur. She felt the best way to honor him was by creating artwork that held her keepsakes together. Mandi realized that others would find comfort in a similar memorial for their own pets.

Clients email their favorite picture, GPP fine tunes the image, etches it to a metal plate, inks the plate, and presses it into fine art paper using a printing press. Pratt is a third generation printmaker, who learned the craft from her grandmother. This newest creation combines these ink etchings with a pet’s paw print, clipping of fur and cremain ash into a beautiful commemorative keepsake.

HGTV.com praises Mandi’s prints as “a fun way to transform even a cell phone photo into artwork worthy of a frame.”

Pratt is honored to be a part of preserving the memories of beloved pets like her rescued Chihuahua mix Jack.
