Greenwell Wants Crimm to Return Overtime Pay for Special Session

Kimberly Greenwell is commending 2 fellow democratic State Representatives for returning their overtime pay to Kentucky for a weeklong special legislative session in May. Greenwell now wants her political opponent, Rep. Ron Crimm (R), to do the same.

Democrat Kimberly Greenwell is commending fellow democratic State Representatives, Jim Wayne of Louisville and Melvin Henley of Murray, for returning their overtime pay to the Commonwealth for a weeklong special legislative session in May.

Greenwell said, "I agree that if lawmakers, such as my opponent, incumbent republican Ron Crimm, would have done their jobs and passed the state budget, then the overtime pay for lawmakers would have been unnecessary. Rep. Crimm states that Kentucky has a spending problem. I would agree that spending $63,000 a day on a special session in this economic climate is in fact a spending problem. Crimm should follow in the footsteps of his fellow legislatures and give Kentuckians their hard earned tax money back."

Kimberly Greenwell is a Louisville businesswoman who is running against Rep. Ron Crimm for the State House of Representatives seat in the 33rd District in November.
