Grand Opening Scheduled for New Laurel Location of KinderMender Walk-In Pediatric Center

Online, February 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - KinderMender Walk-In Pediatric Center will be celebrating the grand opening of its newest location in Laurel.

The grand opening ceremony, which will take place on March 16, 2013 at the new pediatric care center, will feature food, drinks, balloon animals, a clown, a tour of the new facility, and door prizes that attendees can win every half hour.

The new pediatric care center is located at 805 Washington Blvd, and will house six urgent care/sick care rooms, with a medication dispensary and a state of the art x-ray machine on site, and three segregated "well child" rooms, which will prevent the spread of infection. Like the current Columbia location, the Laurel location will also provide walk-in services for all sick visits, as well as check-up services and vaccinations.

True to form, the facility will feature large, boldly-colored, child-friendly decorations, an unintimidating, open layout so children and parents alike can see throughout the facility (exam rooms are private and closed off, of course), a play room, a wall-mounted train which immediately captures the attention of the young patients to distract them from their discomfort, and a bilingual staff that speaks fluent English and Spanish.
