Graduate Diploma in Nursing (GDN) Course for Registered Nurses Launched

The Institute of Health and Management (IHM), proudly launches a new gateway to higher standards of nursing through its recently launched Graduate Diploma in Nursing (GDN) course.

The Institute of Health and Management (IHM) , has recently launched the much awaited Graduate Diploma in Nursing (GDN) course for Registered Nurses seeking to improve and up skill their nursing expertise  and provide them the opportunity to move into specialized and leadership areas.

IHM’s Graduate Diploma in Nursing is accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) for the delivery of this specialized postgraduate course which encompasses health, management, research and nursing specialties.

Managing Director of IHM, Mr Kunnumpurath Bijo advised that this Graduate Diploma in Nursing course was well researched and planned by a strong and experienced academic team. It is designed for nurses who can even opt for a 6-month pathway option where they can graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Nursing.  Any registered nurses would find this an ideal course to up-skill themselves as the qualification is highly recognized and provide them with the added knowledge and skills. Having a qualification can be pivotal in moving up the nursing leadership ladder.

TEQSA recognizes this Graduate Diploma as AQF Level 8 qualification. This qualification also allows the prospective nurse to gain credit entry into Master in Nursing qualifications at Universities of their choice in the future.

Backed by a strong governing Board and academic team, the course has generated a lot of interest even from countries in India, Middle East and the Philippines  as these nurses learned that they are able to complete this professional course in their own countries while still working.

Director of Studies, Mr Russell Freemantle informed that the Graduate Diploma in Nursing course can be done online or Face-to-Face mode. The online option allows healthcare professionals to continue with their knowledge development at their own time and pace. Nurses remain professionally up-to-date and personally capable of coping with changes in the health field.

With a strong history of successfully training more than 5,000 nurses since 2007 by their associate organisation, The Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (IHNA), IHM as its Postgraduate Nursing Division ensures that nurses continue to have the opportunity to upskill and equip themselves with the nursing expertise needed for dynamic changes in patient care and health outcomes.
