Google to Launch Android M at I/O 2015 Conference
The search engine giant; Google is all set to launch its latest Android M operating system for smartphones and tablets at the upcoming Google I/O 2015 Conference, scheduled to hit the floors on 28th May.
Jersey City, May 8, 2015 (Newswire.com) - New Jersey, US, 7th May 2015 – The Google I/O 2015 Conference, scheduled to start on 28th May will witness the most awaited announcement from Google; the launch of the Android M operating system. Last year, Google launched the Android Lollipop operating system at the same event.
According to a report, one of the sessions titled Android for Work had Android M in its descriptions. This revealed that Google would be launching the new Android OS during this event only. Last year, Google revealed Android L, and the full name; Android Lollipop was announced later. This heats up the guessing game, what name the Android M will get.
Currently, there are no official details about the name or new features of the latest Android M. But, we can expect better support for Android wearable, enhanced security features and an updated Android for Work tool for increasing the adoption rate of the Android platform at workplaces. Android M is expected to support various new capabilities, which will be useful for small and medium scale businesses.
For developers, Android M will be getting enhanced capabilities to build hands-free applications, which allows users to access applications through voice only. Google could have a dedicated session for discussion on Android Auto APIs, helping developers to build innovative applications for car. A second version of Google Chromecast, added with enhanced streaming experiences is expected with this new Android OS. Another great session around Android TV and Android Wear would also be held at the Google I/O 2015 Conference.
