GMP Awarded Another Ground-Breaking Project

GMP Contracting and Joseph Porchetta have been awarded another ground-breaking project.

Opus KTV awarded GMP Contracting of South Plainfield, New Jersey, the Phillipsburg Commerce Park Urban Renewal project, named the I-78 Logistic Park. The two-year soil importation project is transforming the former Ingersoll Rand facility into four million square feet of warehouse space. GMP, which is led by Porchetta, was awarded this project to break ground on May 22nd.

There are not many firms that can handle this size project in New Jersey. The project is broken into many phases, all of which offer specific challenges. When asked, all parties involved are confident that GMP is one of a select few firms in New Jersey that can handle a project of this magnitude and nuances.

Joseph Porchetta is very confident that his company will handle the project and deliver it on time and within budget. When asked specifically why he believes he was awarded the project, apart from price, Porchetta responded: “The field of contractors that are willing to bid on a project with this profile is limited. We are very comfortable in this arena, and that is why we excel when asked to bid on a job of this size and makeup. We will deliver this job on time and within budget.”
