Global Outreach Programmes Benefit from Greenfield Community School Family Fun Run
Online, March 19, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Global Outreach Programmes are programmes set up by Greenfield Community School (GCS) with other aid programmes being offered around the world to give students exposure to real life situations.
In 2013, as part of the 7 years old 'Go Kili' programme where students are actively involved in projects which benefit their local community; GCS Students helped build a new multi-purpose centre at the Moshi International School in Tanzania and completed the foundations and base. This coming April, 2014 students will be proud to paint the finished building.
GCS has added, this year, Nepal as another programme for Grade 10 Students. Students are really looking forward for this social partnership with the World Challenge organization and for the unforgettable human interaction it involves. Support and help will be offered to many underprivileged villages and children in Nepal.
Greenfield Community School (GCS) has organized a Family Fun Run in support of its Global Outreach Programmes. This event took place within the DIP Community on Friday March 14, 2014, from 9am until 11am where everyone happily participated in this 4 km Fun Run, and where fancy dressed was encouraged and rewarded. Runners got the chance to win lovely prizes while having a beautiful sunny morning with their families.
Angela Hollington Principal at GCS was quoted saying "I am very grateful and proud to be part of such a generous and supportive community. Their enthusiastic participation made the event a very successful one for GCS. It is due to their generosity that our students will have the opportunity to travel to Nepal and Tanzania at their own expense to use the money to make a difference in the life of others."
