Glidewell Dental Releases Newest Issue of Chairside® Magazine

Glidewell Dental, an industry-leading provider of dental laboratory services, products and technologies, announced today that the latest issue of Chairside® magazine — featuring expanded coverage of implant, restorative and esthetic dentistry — is now available in print and online. The digital edition of Vol. 12, Issue 2, as well as past issues of the magazine, can be viewed from all popular desktop, tablet and smartphone platforms by visiting http://www.chairsidemagazine.com.

The second issue of the revitalized Chairside magazine aims to supplement the clinician’s educational interest with topics on a number of the innovative fields, methods and technologies shaping the science of dentistry.

Chairside magazine strives to share knowledge that makes dentistry easier, faster and more efficient for both patients and doctors.

This issue’s one-on-one interview features Dr. Suzanne Haley, recognized expert in the area of sleep dentistry and general dentist who practices in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Dr. Haley shares her journey into dental sleep medicine and discusses ways in which clinicians can become educated about snoring and obstructive sleep apnea in order to offer life-changing treatments to their patients.

Also featured in the issue is an article by Dr. Steven Barrett, clinical director of Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics, a private group practice with more than 80 offices in Florida. Dr. Barrett outlines the many advantages of pre-made custom provisionals and demonstrates how lab-fabricated temporaries serve as an ideal solution for multi-unit cases where esthetics are a concern.

Additionally, the issue includes several articles from prominent dental industry experts, including the final article in a four-part series by Dr. Randolph Resnik that examines the principles of implant occlusion; a case report by Dr. Anamaria Muresan that compares veneer material options for delivering translucent, high-strength veneers; and a guide by Carrie Webber, of international management and marketing firm Jameson Management, for increasing patient acceptance of large cases. Plus, the recurring “Education Corner” column highlights Glidewell Dental clinicians hosting courses at universities and events across the United States.

Glidewell Dental launched “Chairside Live,” in May 2012 as a multimedia supplement to Chairside magazine. The weekly web video series gives dentists an insider’s look at some of the unique and interesting cases processed at the lab, while keeping them informed of the manifold advancements developed by Glidewell Dental. Current and past episodes of “Chairside Live,” can be viewed at http://www.chairsidelive.com.

Chairside magazine is published by Glidewell Dental and President and CEO Jim Glidewell, CDT. With each issue, Chairside strives to share knowledge that makes dentistry easier, faster and more efficient for both patients and doctors. Featuring clinical tips and techniques, case studies, practice management advice and one-on-one interviews with prominent dental experts, Chairside guides practitioners through the challenging and rewarding tasks the dental profession has to offer.
