The Dubois City Council has approved a proposal from Glacial Energy to supply energy to all city-owned properties. The agreement encompasses anything that is city-owned and has an electric meter including the city building, water and sewer plants, the fire halls and street lights.
The City of Dubois is a family community located in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. While electricity will still be delivered by the local utility, the city entered into a month-to-month agreement where Glacial Energy will supply the city's electricity with no long term contracts or hidden fees. The Council in the City of Dubois reached this decision after an analysis showed $42,500 in potential savings for the city over one year with Glacial Energy as the electricity supplier. If the city does not save money or is dissatisfied for any reason, they are able to cancel the agreement at no cost.
