Wildfire Stories, Artist Billy Kelly and SupperTime Entertainment
launch a new publishing brand for girls ages six to nine. Starting this month, the first of an anticipated four 'the Pinkaboos™' chapter books will publish. Existing in a parallel world, the Pinkaboos' characters are on a mission to help young girls overcome normal childhood fears. The series will be available in both eBook and print formats to be sold through venues like Amazon.com, Baker & Taylor, Kobo, eBookPie, eSentral, Scribd, Apple iBookstore, etc.

According to Lisi Harrison, author of The Clique, Alphas, Monster High, Pretenders, "Facing fears has never been so much fun. The Pinkaboos are ah-dorable!"

The books will be published by Wildfire Stories, a new imprint of Zeta Comics, an all-ages publisher for both Print and Digital books. Started and owned by Robert Simon, Wildifire's mission has been to address the lack of science fiction for young girls. Part of Simon's creed is that fairies are great, but they're not cool. Not unless they're packing molecular disintegrators. He leaped head first into comic books in 2009 when, after devouring everything available, he and his three daughters found little was left that was either appropriate or cool enough to read as a family. "I'm thrilled to be publishing the Pinkaboos series," says Simon. "Designed to put little girls in the driver seat of an amazing and complex world, this is the kind of breakout property that gets readers really excited."

All artwork is by award-winning artist and book designer, Billy Kelly, who runs YAY! Design studio with his wife Jacqueline. Their clients include National Geographic, Little, Brown & Company, Houghton Mifflin, and more. Billy also writes and sings songs for children. His music has won a "Parents Choice Award," and his music videos have been picked up for national public television distribution by American Public Television.

Rights Management/Creative Services company, SupperTime Entertainment, will be responsible for bringing the property to TV and building the Pinkaboos brand. 3 time EMMY nominated partner, Gerry Renert, is currently co-developing TV series' for WGBH in Boston, Switch Entertainment and Bejuba Entertainment -- both in Toronto. Merchandise and publishing for these TV series is managed by SupperTime. For info on the Pinkaboos brand, visit Pinkaboos.com.
