Mike was a founding member of The Larson Company which was often referred to as "Disney for Hire" due to the vast scope of artificial environments they created throughout the USA, and across the Globe. While at Larson, he developed the artificial coral that is still used today in all Sea World theme parks and aquariums. Mike Kavanaugh's 30 plus years in the industry has included working on some very note worthy GFRC (Glass fiber Reinforced Concrete) projects including The Bronx Zoo, The Polar Bear exhibit in Central Park Zoo, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Discovery Cove at Sea World Florida, Disney World, Bush Gardens, Animal Actors exhibit in Universal Studios, New York, New York Casino, The Mirage Volcano, Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, Fort Worth Science and History Museum, Museum of Natural History, Pacific Island Clubs in Guam, Tavern on The Green in Central Park, National Air and Space Museum, Call of the Canyon Retaining Walls, Universal's Islands of Adventures, and Botanical Gardens, just to mention a few.
