Gentry Outdoors Geared Toward Outdoor and Adventure Junkies

New site offers tips and deals for outdoor adventure

A new site, Gentry Outdoors, is offering users access to deals on outdoor and adventure equipment, as well as tips about outdoor adventure.

“We want to make enjoying the outdoors easier, whether someone is experienced or a beginner,” owner Bryan Gentry said. “That’s why we offer more than just links to products—we offer recommendations and advice.”

Among the recommendations offered are eight multitools for everyday use.

“A multitool is something that everyone should have,” Gentry said, “whether they spend a lot of time outdoors or not.”

The site recommends eight and offers a background about each. Some of the multitools highlighted include the lightweight Leatherman Skeletool, the small Gerber Dime, the Victorinox Alox Cadet and the  Spyderco Clipitool Driver.

The site offers posts that explain basic skills, as well, such as starting a fire.

“It is thought that, each year, around 45 million people go camping in the United States,” the site said. However, we’re willing to bet money that not every one of those campers knows how to start a campfire.” It breaks down the fire-starting procedure into simple steps, including gathering material, building the fire and then lighting it.

“We want to make sure everyone has the information they need to be safe outdoors,” Gentry said. “We’re dedicated to giving people the essential knowledge they need to enjoy an adventure, as well as the tools they need along the way.”
