Piloting initially in New York, GA’s JavaScript Development course is the first and only in person, part-time course that focuses exclusively on JavaScript and will enable students to gain relevant and in demand skills in today’s design and web-development landscape.
As one of the most prominent and versatile programming languages in use today - with both RedMonk and GitHub ranking its popularity as the top used skill - there is tremendous demand from employers for JavaScript knowledge. In fact, JavaScript skills are in the highest demand for web development, mobile development, UI/UX and design jobs, according to a 2015 study from Burning Glass and GA.

JavaScript Development is a part-time, 10-week course, designed to equip students with prior basic knowledge of HTML and CSS with the fundamentals of JavaScript and object-oriented programming, including how to work with APIs. Graduates of the course will also benefit from joining GA’s growing community of 23,000 alumni. The course will initially pilot in New York City, starting on January 27, 2016.
All of GA’s courses are built with an education to employment approach, aimed to set students up for success outside of the classroom.
