Gen Y Hub host, Britt Hysen, video chats with The Levo League co-founders about their newly launched online community for Millennial women.

Young professional women are stepping forward to become a potent force in the working world, and with help from a new online community known as The Levo League, they now have a place to network and connect with successful mentors as they pursue their dreams and forge careers. To discuss the beginnings and mission of The Levo League, Gen Y Hub host, Britt Hysen, video chatted with The Levo League founders Caroline Ghosn and Amanda Pouchot in the most recent episode of Gen Y Hub's Video Chat series.

According to their website, The Levo League "is an online social network designed for young professional women in the formative years of their career path." Hysen asked co-founder Amanda Pouchot to elaborate on how The Levo League came to be.

"The Levo League is an online community for Gen Y women. It came out of the time Caroline and I spent together [after graduation]," Pouchot stated, " that time when you are entering the real world and realize, 'Oh my goodness - what do I do? What am I interested in?'" She continued, "It was about supporting each other through those times. We thought about how we can create a community online that would provide young women with an opportunity to connect with one another, find their dream job, and reach out and find a mentor."

As Generation Y builds its reputation as a generation of empowerment through knowledge and awareness, as well as, a developing conscious community, Gen Y Hub's intriguing Video Chat series offers insight into the entrepreneurial spirit and conscious efforts that connect active Gen Y members. In this latest episode, Pouchot and Ghosn explain what it is that makes the youngest generation of adults different from other generations. Speaking to this point, Caroline Ghosn said, "We are tenacious, and we are pro-active. One thing that I keep hearing is that Gen Y is collaborative and transparent. We've grown up in the Internet age - we are accustomed to having our information displayed in ways that previous generations of women did not."

Ghosn also talked about how the new wave of social media and online networking is shaping Millennials who are entering the work force and initiating their own career-oriented projects. "We are poised to benefit from the activity that we create through online means by creating organizations that are more collaborative and greater than the sum of their parts."

Inspired by the ambitious efforts of Gen Y women, The Levo League is positioned to truly provide a worthy online resource. When Hysen asked the co-founders what they loved most about being an integral part of the newly launched online community, Pouchot responded, "I really feel like I get the chance to make a difference. We get to be the ones that are creating a community and enabling opportunities for women to find their dream jobs - that is the biggest reward I can have."

Gen Y Hub's Video Chat episode with The Levo League is an insightful, exciting look into the early stages of a powerful new Gen Y-driven organization. "Caroline and Amanda are part of the growing conscious community of Gen Yers who want to help each other succeed," commented Gen Y Hub host, Britt Hysen, about the video chat. "The passion and benevolence these two young women exhibit proves that we, as a generation of women, are truly breaking down the glass ceiling and continuing down the road our mothers and grandmothers fought so hard to pave for us. Equality and prosperity in the workplace for women is becoming a reality with sites like The Levo League and Gen Y Hub."
