Game Localization Company MO Group International Is Working On Its First Age Rating Consultancy Project

Brussels, February 2013 - Just weeks after launching its new video game age rating consultancy service, MO Group International has begun working on its first project for this service.

This will include a coordination of the age rating process for the Japanese market as well as the translation of all required materials.

MO Group International, a Brussels-based game localization company, announced its new service at the beginning of 2013. Within a few weeks the company was contacted by a large German game publisher, which required assistance with the video game age rating process for Japan.

The project will require MO Group International to oversee and coordinate the entire age rating process with the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (CERO), Japan's official board for rating games. This will involve a translation phase of all official documents from German into Japanese and vice versa.

Mr Orad Elkayam, Head of Business Operations at MO Group International, explains, "One of the challenges for game publishers trying to get a game rated for Japan is that CERO requires all communication and documentation to be submitted in Japanese, and many such publishers just don't have the internal resources to deal with this. As a localization and translation company with significant experience in the Japanese gaming industry, MO Group International is ideally placed to assist."

The company's video game age rating consultancy service allows clients to identify any contentious material within their games that may be problematic for various global markets. MO Group International can then guide clients through the process, not just for Japan, but for any country in the world.

"We're extremely excited to be working on our first project already," continues Mr Orad Elkayam, "This is a new step for us, but with our experience in the industry we're confident that we will be able to help publishers get their games efficiently rated, no matter the market they're targeting."
