Fundraiser to Support Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth Program
Carver, MA, January 9, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Dimensions Salon & Spa is hosting a fundraiser to support the Integrated Care Initiative (ICI)—a program founded by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth—on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., in Carver, Massachusetts. Girl Power “Inspire Healing” will raise money for the ICI, a program that brings “together healthcare providers and local behavioral health programs in a coordinated and integrated model of care to better support the medical, behavioral health and substance abuse needs of individuals and families in the community.”
“I feel that it is vital for the community to become involved in possible solutions to the issue of substance abuse on the South Shore,” stated Linda Crawford, owner of Dimensions. “The Integrated Care Initiative is the perfect program to provide the help and hope to those in need, and our fundraiser, Girl Power, will hopefully inspire healing supported by local businesses and you and me.”

In addition to some select free services provided by Dimensions’ team, Dr. “Skip” Wetherbee of Faces & Smiles will provide botox treatments and Caprice Desroches of Caprice’s Creations will provide eyelash extensions. Pink champagne from Carver Square Wine & Spirits of Carver and appetizers from Alden Park Restaurant of Plymouth will be available throughout the evening. And Susan Asaro Photography of Wareham will be on hand to photograph the event. JTypePlus, a Virtual Assistant in Belchertown, is providing marketing services as well as food platters. Crawford explained, “These sponsors understand the need for businesses to step in to help financially support a program such as the ICI. All sponsorship fees as well as ticket sales will be donated to the program.” Suggested donation for tickets for the event is $30; reservations can be made by calling 508-866-5633.
“I see what substance abuse can do to people and their families,” said Kaitlyn Crawford, Marketing Coordinator at Dimensions. Being the daughter of the owner has afforded the younger Crawford the opportunity to learn all details of running a business and what it means to be part of a community. “I’m so proud of my mother’s accomplishments, and I’m happy to be able to help her give back to the community, which has been part of our mission since 1994.” Kaitlyn added.
During the last 20 years, Dimensions has participated with Aveda in Earth Month activities during April, including collecting donations for nonprofit groups such as Clean Ocean Action (cleanoceanaction.org), Clean Air, Cool Planet (www.cleanair-coolplanet.org), and Appalachian Trail Conservancy (appalachiantrail.org). Also, Dimensions has been involved in collecting donations for: Home for our Troops, Toys for Tots, Oak Point Homeowner’s Charity Golf Tournament and Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to name a few. It’s not all about “stuff” either—Dimensions held an American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Salon. And more locally, Dimensions distributes a scholarship to Carver High School student every year and has donated non-perishable food to the Carver Pantry for 20 years.
