Fridge Art Fair NY Invites All to New Location; Long Island City, NY After March 31st closure by the NYC DOB of The Angel Orensanz Center. Artist and Founder, Eric Ginsburg, Coordinator Cara Viera Hunter and Co-Director Linda DiGusta.
Fridge Art Fair is excited to announce that our 3rd edition, The Ice Cream Sundae Project, will take place during New York's new art week May 8th - 11th in the historical Art District of Long Island City, NY, located just 3 blocks away from MOMA's PS1
At this edition of the Fridge Fair we are thrilled to welcome the exciting addition of the esteemed Dorfman Projects Gallery of New York City and The Hamptons; showcasing the special project, "Pet Portraits to Benefit A.R.F.", by artist Eric Ginsburg.
Known for his stirring portraitures of dogs and cats he found his love of animals during a time in his life when he felt there was nothing that could bring him out of darkness. It was through the companionship of his dog, Darwin, his dearest friend and most loyal companion, that he discovered unconditional love and found his way back to life. Ginsburg learned the importance of friendship and devotion through his bond with Darwin, who has since been the inspiration behind him in all his endeavors, including his art. "When I am asked to paint a portrait of someone's pet, I know that person is a kindred spirit." says Ginsburg, who found an immediate connection with Fred Dorfman of Dorfman Projects through a mutual love and appreciation for the gentle, compassionate creatures. It was because of the shared affection for pets that ARF,
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, commanded their attention and support. ARF provides shelter for homeless animals, ensuring their safety by placing them in loving homes. Dorfman and Ginsburg made the decision to team up and work together to help support the fund's mission by donating portions of all proceeds for commissioned pet portraits to ARF to help them continue their amazing work.
Ginsburgs, Pet portraits are currently on display at Dorfman Projects and will also be exhibited May 8th through May 11th at Fridge Art Fair, where pets are welcome and artist, Eric Ginsburg will be on hand to photograph guest's pet for painting. There will also be paintings of ARF's adoptive pets on display at Fridge Art Fair's exhibit, "Dorfman Projects" Fridge Art Fair's Special Project Area". /www.dorfmanprojects.com/ http://www.arfhamptons.org http://www.worldoferic.com/ (For more info about commissioning a portrait please contact Dorfman Projects at fred@dorfmanprojects.com or info@dorfmanprojects.com
