Frey Farms Expands Commitment to Providing Freshest Bubbler Beverages

Company's Expansion Emphasizes Speed to Market and Product Innovation for Quick Service, Fast Casual Restaurant Customers

Industry innovator Frey Farms is expanding its line of fresh-dispensed Bubbler™ beverages under the Sarah’s Homegrown brand, using fruits sourced from the company’s farms and national grower network to meet consumer and customer expectations for fresh ingredients and quality.

The company is introducing four new products nationwide, and more innovation launches are planned in the coming months. The new products follow a successful launch of white label Bubbler™ beverages in over 16,000 restaurants and include Watermelon, Mango, and Cherry Lime Agua Frescas and Strawberry Lemonade.  The product rollout is accompanied by Frey Farms’ line of Sarah’s Homegrown-branded Bubbler™ dispensers.

Frey Farms has introduced the new product line at several beverage and produce industry events, including the Mid-America Restaurant Expo in Columbus, Ohio, and the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure show in Tampa, Florida. The product line was also featured at Res2020 in Las Vegas.

“I began Frey Farms at age 16 with little more than a single truck and a commitment to provide the best, freshest produce possible,” said Sarah Frey, founding farmer and CEO of Frey Farms. “Enhancing our line of Bubbler™ offerings is a natural fit for a company that is focused on creating exceptionally high-quality products, while delivering quickly to meet customer and consumer trends.”

Recently, Frey Farms was asked by a major restaurant chain to develop a seasonal juice offering featuring Honeycrisp apples. The fall-themed product was on the market in just months, resulting in a fresh, seasonally relevant and healthy option for diners nationwide, which was sourced from Frey Farms' extensive network of produce providers.

One of Frey Farms’ partners, Stemlit Growers, fills an important role in providing the company the highest quality Pacific Northwest fresh produce for its Bubbler™ products.

“Our family-owned company is run by the fifth generation of Mathison family farmers, and Honeycrisp apples are a leading variety for us here in Washington state," said Roger Pepperl, director of marketing for Stemlit Growers. "We grow Honeycrisp apples for the fresh market, but also know a percentage of the crop goes to juice. We love that Frey Farms is working with us to create a new beverage opportunity for our apples.”

Frey Farms’ ability to deliver the freshest juice offerings quickly fits into one of the nation’s fastest-growing beverage segments. Bubbler™ product sales have seen recent sharp increases, said John Evans, senior vice president and general manager of the Americas for Electrolux Professional.

Frey Farms’ mission is to eliminate food waste by sourcing fresh fruit purées and using unused regional specialty crops in innovative ways. As part of its commitment to quality and sustainability, the company's produce is never frozen or shelf-stable. Frey Farm's juice-making expertise and unmatched network of farm partnerships bring the produce and beverage industry together to deliver a truly unique and flavorful product.
