Free Prostate Screening and Education Event at Highlands Oncology Group in Rogers
On September 27th, 2016 Highlands Oncology Group Will Host Free Prostate Cancer Screenings in Collaboration With The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation
Rogers, AR, September 6, 2016 (Newswire.com) - A man has a one in seven chance of developing prostate cancer during his lifetime. Men die at a higher rate from prostate cancer than women die from breast cancer in Arkansas.
Make plans to attend the second annual free prostate cancer screening event at Highlands Oncology Group (HOG) in Rogers, AR. HOG works in collaboration with The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation to allow men in Northwest Arkansas the opportunity to take advantage of this free screening event.
Men between the ages of 45 and 70 are encouraged to participate in this preventative health-care screening. A blood test for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and a physical screening (DRE) will be available. The physical examination is optional. There will also be education available on the risks and benefits of the screening.
We encourage businesses, small and large, to encourage their employees to attend this free health-care screening.
