Former NFL Star Clinton Portis Joins Ricciardi's Find A Dream
Los Angeles, CA, October 26, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Find A Dream—a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for America’s youth and veterans through education and sports—recently announced their newest addition to their All Star Board of Directors, former Two-Time Pro Bowler and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, running back Clinton Portis.
A Miami Hurricane’s Alumni and Hall-of-Fame Inductee, where he shares the record for most career 100-yard rushing performances, Portis debuted for the Denver Broncos in 2002 and spent the majority of his career with the Washington Redskins from 2004-2010. He now works with the ACC Digital Network as a broadcaster and is adamant about giving back and lending his time to community service work.
"Our board and volunteers are committed to providing children after school study facilities with access to computer labs and employment assistance for veterans."

Upon hearing of the opportunity to come on board with Find A Dream, Portis says it was a no brainer.
“Kids are growing up nowadays in a different society than I did, they are missing structure and discipline,” says Portis. “It is so important that kids have mentors and someone they can talk to and learn from, to guide them and show them right from wrong. Unless kids have someone who can teach them about being accountable, learning what it is like to work hard, kids will always look for the easy route, and look to cut corners. Find A Dream is the perfect layout for kids to learn the tools and resources to gain the structure and discipline, and I’m honored to be part of it.”
Find A Dream’s board and volunteers are committed to providing children afterschool study facilities with access to computer labs and employment assistance for veterans. Portis joins an All-Star team dedicated to make a difference in the lives of America’s youth and veterans, including Retired Major General James L. Williams, former running back and current Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Coach Duce Staley, World Champion Boxers Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, Bobby Czyz, Matt Howard, John Conklin, former professional Soccer player Matt Driver, boxer Don Steele, and Jeff Youngman.
“Having Clinton Portis come on board completes everything Find A Dream stands for,” says Rod Ricciardi, founder of Find A Dream. “He is proactive in the community, adamant about making a difference in the lives of children and veterans, and willing to do whatever it takes to take our organization to the next level. He has accomplished so much on the football field, and is a future Hall-of-Famer. It is an honor to have him sit with us on the Board, and he exudes the passion and drive that we need to be successful in our efforts.”
Find A Dream currently has a charity golf outing planned in South Carolina for December 13, with all of its celebrities going to be in attendance, plus dozens more to be named later.
