ForgotMyPhone app enables the call forwarding functionality using service codes provided by network providers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile and Sprint. Once this is enabled, calls to the primary phone will be automatically forwarded to the secondary phone where they can be received.
Location tracking
To track the phone’s location, all that is needed is a secondary phone. Once a location tracking request is sent from it and it reaches the centralised server, the primary device sends the location of the device straight away.
Locking the phone
Even if it is possible to find out where the phone currently is, but still the data could be under threat. The ForgotMyPhone protects data by using the push notification service to disable the primary phone. On a request via the secondary phone to lock the primary device and the centralised server prompts the primary phone to do it thereby locking it.
Erase SD Card data
It is also possible that by the time the phone is locked, the phone data could have been accessed by someone else. To prevent this, the ForgotMyPhone app has the data erase functionality wherein all SD card data can be erased on a request from the secondary phone.
Alarm to locate the phone
It is also possible that the phone could have been placed somewhere near but unable to be located. In that case, the ForgotMyPhone app has a request to sound an alarm and when the primary phone promptly sounds the Siren, the phone can be located.
