Forge 54 Requests Nonprofit Applicants for Annual Marketing Services Donation Event

Forge 54 is excited to present a unique opportunity for local Orange County nonprofits. For the fourth time, Forge 54 is gearing up for their annual marathon marketing weekend which involves as many as 100 young professional volunteers using their skills to impact change through creating pro bono marketing materials-- plus, they do it all in an amazing 54 hours. Last year, Forge 54 donated over $500,000 worth of marketing services. we ask that organizations apply online at Forge54.com by May 2.

​​​Forge 54 today invited nonprofit organizations across Orange County to submit applications to participate in Forge 54’s annual pro bono marketing weekend, an event that pairs young creative marketing talent with a nonprofit who needs updated branding and/or promotion services.

Forge 54 recognizes that nonprofit agencies typically have little to no funding set aside to carry out marketing efforts and so, the Forge 54 team provides assets such as redesigned websites, revised company logos, mobile applications, public relations and social media strategies, original brand videos and more.

Previous recipients of Forge 54’s volunteer efforts include the OC Food Bank in 2013 and Playworks SoCal in 2014. Last year’s selected nonprofit, Wells of Life, received an estimated $574, 725 worth of donated services created by ninety-seven Forge 54 volunteers.

“Over the past three years, Forgers have donated over $1 million worth of pro bono marketing and advertising services to nonprofits in need,” said Forge 54 founder and co-executive director Torrey Tayenaka. “We’re looking to make 2016 the biggest year yet.”

The marketing overhaul that Forge 54 provides for one nonprofit annually will take place on October 14-16 in an impressive 54-hour creative marathon. Forge 54’s ideal candidate is a nonprofit organization that is ready to embrace cutting-edge marketing ideas and innovative promotion strategies.

Through the work done at yearly marketing weekends, Forge 54 intends to foster an opportunity for young professionals to use their skills as a platform for change. When large monetary philanthropy efforts are out of reach, Forge 54 provides an opportunity for young volunteers to donate their time and talent for the good of a local nonprofit.
