FlexCV on Kickstarter- Computer Vision without the Coding
UK, December 15, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Apulus presents FlexCV: FlexCV is a new and unique piece of software developed by two young entrepreneurs.
Previously, Computer Vision was limited to only software engineers, now everybody can enjoy it.
As the lead developer Rob Ewbank stated “Before when I was dealing with Computer Vision, it was always such a huge workload and complicated. So I thought to myself, why not just make a tool that is simple for everyone to use.”
This is where FlexCV comes in to the picture. It makes CV (computer vision) easily accessible for everyone, simply drop in the parts and connect them together. Or use and share pre-made setups.
Now the pair are running a Kickstarter campaign. Co-Founder Niklas Karlsborg remarks “Kickstarter is a great platform for innovators to generate funds and create product awareness; we have received a lot of positive feedback on FlexCV, including being staff picked by the Kickstarter team.”
A demo is now available for people to test and play with the software, to get a feel for it.
“We already have had many people in the community contact us and want to try it out. Even if FlexCV is not a completely polished product yet, we want people to have a play with it and realize its potential.“ Rob Ewbank explained.
FlexCV is flexible as the name states, it has hundreds of potential application it can be used for; Ranging from tracking chickens to video editing.
One backer stated: “I think your Computer Vision idea is genius It is like giving people a visual tool that up to now only engineers had the privilege to use. FlexCV could be very useful to any job that guess visual clues, still images, visual artists, DJ’s and professional video editing”
“We are humbled with all the feedback given so far, we are positive going in to the future with FlexCV and the mission of bringing Computer Vision to everyone” -Niklas Karlsborg
