First Texas Products Wins Judgment Against Counterfeiters
EL PASO, Texas, October 4, 2018 (Newswire.com) - In The United States District Court, First Texas Products, LLC has won a judgment against manufacturers and resellers of counterfeit metal detectors. In its July 31, 2018 order, the court rules that the counterfeiters “are permanently enjoined from manufacturing, importing, purchasing, distributing, selling, or offering for sale any counterfeit metal detector …”

Years ago, several Chinese factories began conspiring with criminal organizations in the Middle East to produce counterfeit gold prospecting detectors after witnessing the commercial success of First Texas brands in African gold fields. After stealing substantial amounts of First Texas intellectual property, the counterfeiters began selling counterfeit hobby metal detectors in many of First Texas’ main markets, including in the United States and the European Union.
Permanently enjoined from selling their counterfeit products are Shanghai Tianxun Electronic Equipment Company, Ltd, Shanghai Zhangdu Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd d/b/a KingDetector, TheSellingPost.Biz, LLC and Costway.com.
