First Reinvention of Education in 200 Years
Online, May 27, 2013 (Newswire.com) - An Internet startup company is promising to reinvent education for the first time in 200 years. Anvoy (pronounced AHN-voy) has applied for patent protection of its unique, peer-to-peer learning method which is specifically designed to foster the creativity, specialization and critical thinking skills required by today's jobs and the global economy. The method is inspired by "discipleship," the ancient teaching method that Jesus used to spread Christianity.
Anvoy is building a state-of-the-art education platform around its proprietary technology which will allow independent instructors to create, promote and sell their own online courses worldwide. All courses are coached by a student who has already completed the course. Coaches are like teachers' assistants who check the students answers to open-ended questions. All students who complete a course are expected to become coaches and can earn income by promoting courses and providing coaching services.
In addition, instructors will be able to create their own online academies or "private label" elearning websites to target niche education markets. These independent, branded academies will organize and sell the instructor's courses as well as courses created by other instructors. All course creation, hosting, and sales services will be provided by Anvoy 24/7 as a web-based (SAAS) application.
"Our current Standardized Education system was designed in the 1700's to mass produce identical workers for factories in the Industrial Revolution," says Bob Huber, President of Anvoy, "but today's jobs require just the opposite - creative, specialized individuals. We can't put 30 children in a classroom, teach them all the same, and expect 30 individual, creative thinkers. Anvoy aims to fill this gap with supplemental, online education to develop these critically important skills."
Anvoy is the first market-driven, online education and mentoring system of its kind. Plans are to release the complete beta website in July 2013 in preparation to officially launch Anvoy on January 1, 2014. Parties interested in publishing online courses or independent academies should sign up for free accounts on Anvoy.com immediately in order to get started publishing courses. Instructors are encouraged to have courses ready to take advantage of the free marketing and publicity that will be generated by Anvoy's official launch.
