Fire and Fuel Apparel Hosts Fundraiser on March 15 for Baby With Liver Cancer
Online, February 21, 2014 (Newswire.com) - To lend help to a good cause and promote the release of the company's newest product line, Fire and Fuel Apparel is throwing a party - the Second Annual Irish Fire Brigade Party - on March 15. The fun starts at 7 p.m.
A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the family of Jaycee Jolley, a baby with liver cancer and the daughter of a local firefighter. More information about Jaycee's journey with cancer can be found at http://jayceelynnsjourney.blogspot.com/.
Jaycee's dad recently told Jerry Lund, owner of Fire and Fuel Apparel, "It really means a lot to us to know that there are good people out there like you who can make a difference in people's lives when they are going through hard times. In my four years of being a firefighter I have learned that the camaraderie extends even further than the department you work for."
Fire and Fuel Apparel's Irish Fire Brigade product collection honors the Irish- American history of firefighting in the United States and features a Maltese cross wrapped with a firehose. The green distressed four leaf clover is ringed with fire and hats feature the Fire and Fuel Apparel crossed nozzle logo, in the colors of the Irish flag.
Jerry Lund, a Saratoga Springs firefighter, launched Fire and Fuel Apparel in October 2013, to provide hats, t-shirts, hoodies and other accessories to members of the firefighting community. A portion of all sales from these products are donated to the families of injured and fallen firefighters.
"At Fire and Fuel, our mission is to honor the unsung everyday heroes and inspire those of the future," Lund said. The sentiment behind that mission has been Lund's way of life during his 23-year career as a firefighter, in both volunteer and professional capacities.
Fire and Fuel makes clothing, jewelry and other accessories for men, women and children, but clothing isn't the company's only offering. The company also makes safety gear and medical bags for first responders, as well as decorative items like the Irish Fire Brigade blanket. For those who seek a custom product, Fire and Fuel can create it. The company's full line of men's and women's apparel and other products is available at the Fire and Fuel web site (www.fireandfuelapparel.com).
