Financial Advisor Holds a MasterMind Event in Grand Rapids, MI
Online, June 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Who says brainstorming is dead? Some 53 members of GTBK Marketing, LLC came from all over the United States to meet in the Grand Rapids, MI headquarters May 24th to do just that.
Dennis Tubbergen, who is CEO of GTBK Marketing is a "financial advisor to financial advisors" and has counseled some 40,000 of them on how to become more successful. He advises over 6,000 financial advisors on a regular basis through his monthly newsletter Smarter, Not Harder®.
For the past 6 years Tubbergen and his staff have held MasterMind workshops three times a year to allow "the best of the best" financial advisors and insurance agents to get together to discuss problems in the industry, what is working and not working, and how to help clients with specific problems. Each year two of the 2 ½-day events are held in Grand Rapids with the February workshop held in Key West, FL for a little added "rest and recreation" for those from colder regions.
John Aue has been a marketing coach with GTBK Marketing, LLC for 8 years and finds each of the workshops to be revitalizing for those attending. "We have between 50 and 75 members at each workshop," Aue notes. "It's a chance for everyone there to share ideas and get excited about the business again. Members can experience the success and knowledge of the top producers at GTBK."
According to Aue, another advantage of attending the workshops is to meet in-house GTBK Marketing staff and to see other programs available to members, such as the "Increasing Charitable Contributions in the Current Economy" Workshop, held monthly in the Grand Rapids' offices. The workshop is held to coincide with the MasterMind events and was designed to help both charities and their donors. Seven charities attended the May 2010 event.
CEO Dennis Tubbergen agrees that brainstorming is helpful, even among top producers.
"Because we're doing business in a transformed or modified environment, the way we do business needs to be an act of change," explains Tubbergen. "In short, you can't do things the way you've always done them and expect to be successful."
