Finance Professionals Travel from Around the World to Attend Accountancy Body's First Recognition Ceremony
Online, February 10, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Finance professionals from India around the world travelled to join employers, learning providers, and students to take part in the first recognition event held in India by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
The event, to celebrate the success of individuals who have achieved ACCA membership and students who have excelled in ACCA's professional examinations, was attended by ACCA members who have pursued careers in the UAE, Europe and the US.
ACCA Chief Executive Helen Brand OBE spoke at the ceremony at Le Meridien Hotel. She congratulated members and students on their success and welcomed them to the ACCA family.
She paid tribute to families and friends who had supported the successful individuals through their journey - along with learning partners who had provided excellent guidance and tuition.
Helen Brand told the new members and students: "There are so many opportunities that lie ahead for you - and it is vital to pay tribute to employers who are with us tonight. They not only provide outstanding opportunities to accountancy students and qualified members, but also support their careers as they progress. Employers are central to your success, which is why ACCA always consults employers - along with tuition providers, students and members to ensure that our qualifications continue to meet the needs of organisations and economies and that ACCA members have the complete breadth and depth of skills which are needed in today's business world. "
Helen Brand also urged finance professionals to use their skills to help organisations take advantage of improving economic conditions, and also underlined ACCA's commitment to working in partnership with other organisations to enable young people to access rewarding and exciting careers and to make a contribution to the future success of India.
