Fieldale Farms Selects Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System for Live-to-Fresh Poultry Operations

Fieldale Farms recently signed a software license and professional services agreement with 3C Software to install the Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System for their Cornelia and Murrayville production facilities.

Fieldale Farms knows chicken. The $750 million company located in Baldwin, Georgia, offers fresh and further processed chicken under its namesake brand and as private label products to food service and retail companies. Recently, Fieldale signed a software license and professional services agreement to install the Impact:ECS Enterprise Cost System for their Cornelia and Murrayville production facilities.

The implementation, which covers the company's live-to-fresh operations, will focus on calculating detailed actual costs by finished product. By having true product cost results, Fieldale's accounting team can accomplish a number of goals including determining profitability by product, line and customer, calculating the actual cost of specialty or small runs, and generating profit and loss statements by both pounds and dollars for each production location.

By working with the professional services team from 3C Software, Fieldale will enhance their existing Series i System programs with a robust cost solution specifically designed for their production process and data requirements. According to Eddie Elrod, Fieldale's Corporate Controller, "We are pleased with our association with 3C Software. We are in an industry with complex and continually changing detailed costing needs and I am confident that Impact:ECS will be an asset to our company." Fieldale joins other poultry processors including Tyson Foods and Townsends in transforming their costing process with Impact:ECS. "Poultry processors like Fieldale recognize the importance of operationally-focused, detailed product cost information to their success," shared 3C Software CEO Matthew Smith.
