Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Sonography Launched
Hands-On Diagnostics launched a new fellowship program in musculoskeletal ultrasound sonography to train Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers in this advanced technology
ASTORIA, N.Y., October 3, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Musculoskeletal Ultrasound has opened new horizons in the health care profession dealing with the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.
Recent advances in ultrasound technology have created a functional and practical approach to evaluate joints, muscles, ligaments and even nerves. Clinical evidence and research support using ultrasound as the first diagnostic test for numerous musculoskeletal conditions. While there are several continuing education training programs in musculoskeletal ultrasound, there was no Fellowship program in the U.S. until now to train health care providers extensively in this new advanced technology. The program aside from its extensive classroom time requires the completion of over 200 sonography studies performed under mentorship environment.
