FEECO's Participation in Where Did You See Me Program a Big Success

Feeco International partnered up with Where Did You See Me to track the manufacturer's rotary drums headed to South Africa, and received an overwhelming wave of positive responses.

A few months ago, when FEECO partnered up with the Where Did You See Me program to photographically document the movement of three 226,000 lb. rotary drums on their way to South Africa, they were hoping to get some great photos of their drum transportation, but they had no idea the overwhelming positive response that was awaiting them.

The Where Did You See Me program partnered with FEECO to put banners on each drum, inviting anyone who saw one of the drums to take its picture and submit it on the WDYSM website to a photo contest. The movement of each drum from Green Bay to the Port of Milwaukee quickly flooded the WDYSM site with entries, from children in their pajamas posing proudly beside the drum, to the 210 ft. long trailer going through roundabouts. But the entries did not just consist of photos; among them was an awe-inspiring outpour of pride and excitement from the local community.

While many people submitted photos with short stories of their encounters with the drums, some did not submit photos at all, but posted a word of enthusiasm or interest, wishes for safe travel, and comments on the exceptional job done by the escorts for getting the drums through busy intersections. The overall feeling was one of great pride for a long-standing member of the community manufacturing equipment to be used around the world. President Dan Madigan stated, "As a manufacturing company, it is not often that we get to interact directly with the community around us. We were truly touched by the response we received on the transportation of these drums, and we are proud to be a part of such a great community."

FEECO intends to continue their participation with Where Did You See Me on select projects. For more information on the Where Did You See Me program, or to view pictures and comments on the FEECO rotary drums, visit http://WhereDidYouSee.me.
