Federal Tax Rebate for Energy Efficient Homes Expiring

You must act quickly to get a Federal Tax Credit for Consumer Energy Efficiency. This credit expires on December 31, 2010. Procrastinators are in danger of missing out on significant savings on a new Energy Star products in their homes.

All Seasons Comfort, the premier heating and air conditioning services and equipment installation company serving Bexar, Wilson, Atascosa, Bandera, Guadalupe, and Medina Counties in Texas is reminding all San Antonio area residents that the Federal Government's $1,500 Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit will expire on December 31, 2010.

The very helpful tax credit was part of the U.S. Government's nearly $800 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed into law in 2009. The incentive was designed to spur more installations of energy-efficient items such as windows, doors, boilers, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, water heaters and insulation.

Numerous homeowners throughout the nation have already taken advantage of the tax credit to save money on their tax bills and reduce their monthly utility costs while being environmentally conscious. Procrastinators beware though, because time is running out.

"It doesn't look like congress will extend the tax credit any further than this year. So there's not much time to take advantage.", says Ron Carter, marketing representative for All Seasons Comfort in San Antonio, TX.

Carter goes on to explain, "Time is critical here because it's not enough to buy the Energy Star products for your home. The products must be installed and okayed by a city or local Inspector. Please don't try to wait until the last minute to capitalize on this rebate. It may be too late!"

In addition to the tax savings, Carter advises that making energy-efficient home improvements offers other benefits as well.

"Investing in a new home HVAC system is a great idea. But if you combine the tax credit with your local electric company's utility rebates, you can save up to $4,000 on the air conditioning and heating unit you have installed! There are also manufacturer's warranties available which can add to the savings! For instance, Frigidaire HVAC is offering a variety of rebates on matching HVAC systems. These rebates range anywhere from $150 all the way up to $1,300. If you were to get the top notch system manufactured by Frigidaire, you could get as much as $4,500 in instant rebates, utility credits and tax credits combined!"

Even if you do wait until the last minute, Carter reminds homeowners that All Seasons Comfort offers next-day installation of HVAC systems, and same day services in some cases. In the few remaining weeks before the tax credit expires, All Seasons' schedule is filling rapidly to accomodate the homeowners who don't want to wait.

To keep from missing the deadline for the tax credit, thrifty-minded homeowners should call All Seasons Comfort as soon as possible to set up a FREE In-Home Energy Audit. An experienced All Seasons Comfort Consultant will help you assess your energy consumption patterns and determine the best heating and cooling system for your needs.
