Family Worship Center of American Canyon Presents "Love Starts Here" With Three Special Easter Displays Sunday, April 16, 2017

Family Worship Center of American Canyon, California will have a special Easter service on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The theme of the service and message will be "Love Starts Here" and will also have three major displays of artifacts from the time of Jesus.

Easter 2017

The Family Worship Center, located at 109 Klamath Court in American Canyon, California, just off Highway 29, will have something very special this year for its Easter service on April 16th at 10:00 AM.  Pastor Lawrence Exum will preach on “Love Starts Here,” about how God’s pre-ordained death of His son, Jesus Christ, demonstrated His love towards a lost humanity.

Afterwards, people will get to see a special display of 2,000 year old artifacts from Israel.  The collection is primarily comprised of three major displays as follows:

I. The Carpenter's Collection (65 pieces)

Probably the most complete collection of carpenter tools in the country.  Ancient carpenter tools such as hammers, adzes, chisels, pliers, drills, wood shavers, etc., all found in Galilee, Israel and date back to the time of Jesus Christ.  This is significant for those celebrating Easter because Jesus was known to be a carpenter from Nazareth.

II.         The Last Supper Collection

There will also be a display showcasing items that would have been found on the table of the last supper with Jesus and His disciples.  Items such as bowls, plates, cups and serving vessels (all dating back to the time of Jesus and found in Jerusalem) will be featured.

III. Crucifixion Display

A crown of thorns grown in Israel (plant type believed to have been placed on Jesus' head), crucifixion nails (even one possibly used in an actual crucifixion), Roman hammer (used to pound nails), Roman spearhead (soldiers pieced the side of Jesus with one), gambling "lots" (used at the foot of the cross by the Roman soldiers), coins that comprise the 30 pieces of silver (that Judas betrayed Jesus with), and coins of Pontius Pilate and Herod Antipas (who were both involved in Jesus' trial).  One of the extremely rare silver coins is dated to the probable year of the crucifixion.

“All of the items displayed are genuine and date back some 2,000 years ago to the life of Jesus Christ,” says Pastor Lawrence Exum.  “The collection has taken nearly twenty years to assemble and few exist of its kind in the entire country.”

The public is invited to worship at the Family Worship Center of American Canyon as well as see these historical artifacts from the time of Jesus.  For more information, please call the church at (707) 557-7745, email info@fwcnb.org or visit their website at http://www.fwcnb.org/
